To focus efforts on containment of COVID-19 in British Columbia, provincial health officials have implemented the following measures:

  • Masks are recommended (but not required) in all indoor spaces until you have had two vaccine doses
  • Canada/US border is closed to all non-essential travel.
  • Air operators have been formally mandated to prevent any travelers with symptoms to board an aircraft to Canada.
  • Canadians are to avoid all non-essential travel outside Canada, including to the US. Anyone who chooses to travel outside Canada must quarantine for 14 days upon return.
