Louise Drescher lives and works in Rossland, a town surrounded by mountains that change colours with the seasons and the light. The natural and historic scenery of Rossland inspires new paintings…paintings with huckleberry mountains, bears in the backyard, old store fronts, new snow on the fir trees and the bright red of spires and roof-tops.
The Louise Drescher Studio / Gallery is located in downtown Rossland, across from the Library in the Velvet Building, open Monday – Saturday 4-10pm. The venue is a shared space with artists Louise Drescher and Jenny Baillie. The main street (Columbia Ave.) entrance leads downstairs to the studio space where finished paintings are displayed and are for sale. The gallery can also be accessed from the alley behind the building. This is a double door entrance and opens directly into the gallery.
